"I was a car dealer for 40 years so maybe it's my way of applying for re-entry to the human race!"
Bob Muller sold his business, moved to Deloraine and started volunteering for the local fire and ambulance services. Out of that, he realised he wanted to go to uni and study paramedicine full time.
Fair to say, there's an age gap between Bob and most of his classmates.
"Most guys my age, they're figuring out how to add their long service leave to their sick leave so they can stop working now and not retire for six months. I get to spend my days with some of the most outstanding young people you will ever meet. I get to spend my days with people who are starting a career of service and contribution. It's an absolute privilege."
Don't miss out on pressing play and hearing how Bob Muller, who'll graduate as a paramedic at 64, now has best mates who are 19 and 20, and has found even more reasons to say "grey hair is valuable."
